ASML: 1,700 jobs cut
ASML, the Dutch semiconductor equipment manufacturer, has announced the cutting of 1,700 jobs, representing about 4% of its workforce of 44,000. This restructuring is aimed at flattening the organizational structure and improving engineering efficiency by eliminating management roles. The CEO indicated that the organization had become too layered, slowing down engineering processes.
